“We get so many people that just say, why do I care about [reproductive] choice? And seeing the huge cross connections between so many issues. You just can’t separate issues like poverty, race, and sexuality, and gender from issues of reproductive choice.’”

Now because the majority of abortions are performed in the first trimester, if you’re going to get an ultrasound image, as the Virginia law requires, the law states, basically, that any woman seeking to have a legal procedure known as an abortion, whether she wants to or not, first lay back in a chair, spread her legs, (put her) feet in stirrups, and have an eight- to ten-inch wand put inside her — even if the woman in question is pregnant as the result of a rape.
I don’t really have a joke here. I just thought I’d tell you.”

I’m going to lay this out for you, ok?
Cis women are not being targeted by the anti-choice, anti-reproductive rights lobby.
For cis women to be targeted by the anti-choice lobby, they would have to allow that non-cis men, non-men and non-cis women exist.
And. they. do. not.
You seem to think that in this shoot-out you’re being aimed at, and we’re just being hit coincidentally.
That is not what’s happening.
What is happening is that they are aiming at all of us but only calling us by your name.
They are only allowing for your existence, assimilating us into you because of our biology.
They are actively denying our existence by simply calling us you. They are counting our dead under your name.
And you know what happens when you only acknowledge yourselves?
You don’t even count our dead at all.
This times a billion. I am so over the erasure of FAAB people who aren’t women (and the simultaneous erasure of MAAB women) that I could barf.
