the waste land

rufus may be the only decent guy bobby ever hooked up with.  bobby was more serious about it than rufus was.  then rufus met a woman and ended it, but they kept hunting together because by then bobby’d gotten pretty good at swallowing his feelings and they were never an official ‘thing,’ right?  then omaha, and rufus’s fiance died b/c women in supernatural have short lifespans.  grief makes people think nasty things sometimes, and rufus started to wonder if maybe bobby just let her die to get her out of the way.  worst part was he always knew it wasn’t true, that bobby couldn’t ever do that, but once the words were out there was no taking them back because that’s obviously another thing that doesn’t survive long in supernatural—apologies.  (i hope this makes sense; i just got up and i am not awake yet.)
